The Porter role at TC Restaurant Group is an essential position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout the dining and service areas. As a Porter, the individual will be engaged in multiple daily tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, monitoring and emptying trash cans, and collecting debris to ensure a pristine environment. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to follow directions closely while working collaboratively within a team setting. Porters must adhere strictly to safety, health, and environmental policies, and contribute to efficient inventory management of maintenance supplies and equipment. This part-time position offers an opportunity to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential for overtime when approved by management. Porters play a vital role not only in the physical upkeep but also in the guest experience. They will be evaluated on various leadership qualities such as accountability, adherence to company policies, appearance, attitude, dependability, and teamwork, as well as on job skills knowledge, judgment, productivity, punctuality, work quality, and communication skills. This role is designed for individuals who are comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, able to withstand varying temperatures, and can perform physically demanding duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling items up to 20 pounds and working in spaces with restricted access. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a genuine desire to enhance the overall function and ambiance of the restaurant spaces under TC Restaurant Group’s management.
  • 18+ years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Work will include indoor and/or outdoor areas
  • Must have the ability to withstand high and low temperatures
  • Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy etc
  • Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. access
  • Tasks are performed from a non-sitting and sitting position
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to perform work tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
  • Constant contact with guests and fellow team members is required
  • Schedule could exceed 30 hours per week and may include overtime when approved by management
  • Work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to be exposed to day life/nightlife environmental factors including but not limited to second-hand smoke, excessive noise, flashing/strobe lights, and stress levels related to interacting with guests in a fast-paced environment
