The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position based at the Washington, DC Headquarters offers a vital frontline role within this esteemed nonprofit. Serving as the initial point of contact, this role demands a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with an international and diverse array of visitors, callers, and guests. The individual will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing high volumes of incoming telephone communications, and ensuring timely connection to relevant parties. As an essential support role, the Receptionist also handles a variety of administrative tasks, ranging from mail operations and conference room bookings to assisting with building maintenance issues and supporting the HR Director. This role requires reliability, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in multiple administrative technologies including SharePoint and Outlook applications. The position is classified as non-exempt with a pay range of $23 to $25 per hour and necessitates full-time office presence from 9am to 5pm, five days a week, with an expectation for occasional extended hours to support organizational events.  - Previous experience in receptionist or administrative assistant role
 - Exceptional customer service skills
 - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
 - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 - Physical ability to handle mail packages up to 50 pounds
 - Must be available to work standard office hours with occasional extended hours
 - Must be punctual and dependable
 - Must be able to work in office five days a week
 - Willingness to occasionally come in early or stay late for events
