Sedgebrook provides a full-time, non-exempt Receptionist position with a competitive pay range of $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, dependent on experience. The work schedule includes Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday shifts, with availability required between 6:45 AM to 2:15 PM and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 35 to 37.5 hours per week. This Receptionist role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of Sedgebrook's front desk areas across both its Independent Living and Health Center buildings. The position requires a hospitality-focused individual who embodies superior customer service skills since they will be the first point of contact and the lasting impression for residents, visitors, and staff alike. The Receptionist will manage multiple communication channels, including phone calls, emails, and physical correspondence, ensuring accurate and timely direction to the appropriate parties. Managing records related to resident admissions and discharges is another essential component of the job, requiring meticulous attention to detail and coordination with nursing staff. The successful candidate must be organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a warm and professional demeanor. The role also encompasses managing the reception area traffic, handling deliveries and packages, and keeping precise records about residents’ whereabouts through tools like the away book and shift pass along system. - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Minimum of one (1) year receptionist experience required
- Proficient in office software including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills
- Must be able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to operate postage and copy machinery
- Must be able to speak conversational English to communicate with residents, visitors, family members, supervisor and co-workers
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus
- Previous experience in a senior living environment or medical facility preferred
