The role of Restaurant Host/Hostess is pivotal in maintaining the unparalleled guest experience that Waldorf Astoria is famous for. This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $24.59 per hour, based on specialized experience and location. The successful candidate will work various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, requiring flexibility and a commitment to outstanding hospitality service. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests arriving at the resort’s dining outlets. Your primary responsibility will be to warmly welcome guests, ascertain their dining needs, and escort them to their seats while managing the seating chart efficiently to ensure optimal dining flow and guest satisfaction.
The role also involves monitoring restaurant activity to coordinate seating and dining flow, performing opening and closing duties as required, and assisting with side work such as cleaning, stocking, and folding silverware. Knowledge of the menu is essential, allowing you to respond accurately and promptly to guest inquiries and requests.
