The Radisson Hotel Sunnyvale, part of Choice Hotels International’s managed portfolio that includes Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson Red, Park Plaza, and Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, is currently seeking a Director of Sales to lead its sales efforts. This role is ideal for a dynamic sales leader with a passion for strategy, selling, and a strong desire to explore new opportunities. The Director of Sales serves as the hotel’s go-to expert on sales processes, contracts, and sales platforms, ensuring the ultimate success of the hotel by spearheading sales initiatives and implementing creative negotiations to meet client needs. The role demands a collaborative "Everybody Sells" approach, engaging all hotel departments to work towards common sales and revenue goals.
In addition to managing hotel sales teams and overseeing job duties, delegation, and training, the Director of Sales plays a key role in aligning business strategies with market share goals alongside the General Manager. This position focuses largely on generating new business leads, managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and providing excellent communication with ownership, operational partners, and clients to create 100% guest satisfaction through delivering the Radisson hospitality experience. Market research, analysis of industry trends, and active community involvement through networking events are also vital components of the role. The overall aim is to maintain the hotel’s competitive edge in the market while championing the hotel brand and service quality.

                - High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred
 - Minimum 5 years sales management experience within hotel industry
 - General knowledge of contract laws
 - Ability to interpret and implement strategies based on reviews of STR, TravelClick/Kalibri Labs, GDS Audits, Online booking tools and other similar sales tools
 - Expert computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
 - Ability to occasionally travel
 - Required to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time
 - Lift, carry, or otherwise move and use of force up to 50 lbs.
 - Use of manual dexterity of common office equipment such as but not limited to, computers, printers, phones, etc.
