This position is aligned with the Integrated Warfare Systems and Sensors (IWSS) / Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) line of business, specifically supporting the Airborne Early Warning product line through the E-2D Production and Sustainment efforts. The role is focused on serving as a Subcontract Program Manager (SPM), responsible for leading supply chain strategy and ensuring successful execution of supply chain commitments covering cost, schedule, quality, and technical requirements. This position demands managing the complete lifecycle of subcontracts, from capture through to development, production, and sustainment phases.
As an SPM, you will lead multidisciplinary teams through design, development, and production of large and complex subcontracts, including those for systems, subsystems, and software solutions. You will be entrusted with managing several large contracts, some of which involve overseas work, overseeing critical aspects of development, including the scope of radar development areas within the Common Production Team. The role involves establishing action plans and schedules that guarantee suppliers deliver contracted materials and services punctually and meet program needs. It also includes developing and implementing negotiation strategies for new subcontracts and additional scopes, coordinating supplier program reviews, and reporting program performance and status to senior leadership.
Further responsibilities include ensuring budgets are maintained with positive Earned Value Management System (EVMS) performance, participating in corporate program assessments, and addressing and resolving issues promptly. A significant part of this role is to position Lockheed Martin competitively, through identifying supply sources, developing selection strategies, preparing requests for proposals, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and leading source selection processes. You will also manage subcontractor milestone payment plans, participate in proposal assessments, and foster a strong team capable of launching new programs successfully.
The position offers the flexibility of part-time remote telework combined with on-site work at designated Lockheed Martin facilities. The work schedule follows a 4x10 hour day pattern, offering three days off per week. Lockheed Martin offers a competitive salary range between $122,900 and $244,835 annually, depending on location and candidate experience. This full-time role includes comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, among others. A Secret security clearance is required, and applicants must be U.S. citizens. Travel up to 15% may be necessary to meet the demands of the role.
