The position of Server on American Cruise Lines’ ships for the 2026 cruising season is an exceptional opportunity for individuals seeking an introduction to the cruise industry and a strong foundation for a career in hospitality. This is a temporary, yet highly rewarding maritime hospitality role that spans 28 weeks aboard one of the company's luxurious vessels. Servers play a vital role in delivering elegant, memorable dining experiences for guests by efficiently managing all aspects of meal service in the onboard hotel and restaurant venues. Beyond typical restaurant duties, this role includes greeting guests, catering to special culinary requests, assisting at various onboard events such as afternoon teas and evening entertainment, and acting as a proud ambassador of the American Cruise Lines brand. The position demands excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, stamina for extended work hours, and a commitment to upholding the company’s high service standards and values.
With wages ranging from $1,000 to $1,400 weekly plus bonuses, and with most major living expenses including travel, lodging, uniforms, and training covered by the company, Servers have a unique chance to save much of their income while gaining invaluable hospitality and customer service experience. Working on these vessels will allow employees to travel across the United States, visiting a wide range of destinations and forming lasting relationships with both colleagues and guests from diverse backgrounds.
