Located at Waterside Plaza, Brookfield Properties is seeking dedicated Building Cleaning Workers to join their team. This role is critical in keeping commercial and residential premises clean, orderly, and well-maintained. The position encompasses various responsibilities such as cleaning offices, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, elevators, and stairways, ensuring the environment remains welcoming and safe for all occupants. Additionally, the role involves tasks like wet and dry mopping floors, carpet shampooing, wall washing, and removing gum and graffiti, all contributing to the pristine condition of the building. The role also requires performing minor repairs, painting, carpentry, replenishing bathroom supplies, as well as seasonal duties including landscaping and snow removal. Building Cleaning Workers will also be responsible for sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors and fixtures, cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, dusting furniture and equipment, and replacing light bulbs. The job involves transporting small equipment or tools between departments and setting up tables and chairs for events held in auditoriums or meeting rooms. Brookfield Properties values experience but is open to candidates with zero to one year of prior experience working in commercial or multi-unit residential properties. Candidates must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, following union contract guidelines, with hourly wages ranging from $22.29 to $29.72 per hour.
