The Porter role at Vistas at Vance Jackson is pivotal in maintaining the visual appeal and cleanliness of the property, ensuring that both vacant units and common areas meet high standards of readiness and hygiene. This position is classified as full-time and offers competitive compensation ranging from $14.88 to $17.51 per hour, reflecting factors such as experience, qualifications, and specific geographic location. The successful candidate will report to the Resident Manager and Property Manager and work closely with the maintenance team to support the overall upkeep and smooth operation of the community. The primary responsibility of the Porter is to clean vacant units thoroughly to prepare them for marketing and occupancy, ensuring each apartment is presented at its best to prospective residents. Additionally, the Porter maintains cleanliness in shared areas such as the business office, restrooms, laundry facilities, model units, driveways, parking lots, curbs, and dumpster zones. These collective efforts contribute significantly to the aesthetic and functional excellence of the property. Beyond cleaning duties, the Porter plays a customer-facing role by addressing resident concerns related to property maintenance in a courteous and professional manner. They are also tasked with monitoring safety practices, reporting maintenance issues to supervisors, assisting with inventory management, and adhering strictly to Cushman & Wakefield’s safety policies and procedures. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and walk for long periods, navigate staircases and ladders, and occasionally exert force to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent, along with some related experience in residential or commercial cleaning, is important for success in this position. Working in a professional office environment, the Porter will regularly interact with various office technologies and travel between properties as needed in different weather conditions.
