This particular opportunity is for the position of Porter at C&S Wholesale Grocers’ facility located in Westfield, Massachusetts. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the warehouse and office environments, contributing to a safe and efficient workplace. Porters are vital team members who help preserve the prideful and productive work environment by ensuring aisles, product slots, and common areas remain clean and well-maintained. This role includes managing spill clean-ups, sweeping, mopping, polishing floors, cleaning bathrooms, and handling trash disposal tasks. Shift hours are Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, offering stability and a start rate of $19.00 per hour plus a $2.00 freezer premium for a total of $21.00 per hour. Working conditions include exposure to freezer environments from -20F to 0F, and physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting up to 60 pounds, and other movement associated with cleaning duties.
