The Security Officer role at Atlantic Fields is a crucial position within the Safety and Security Department, part of Discovery Land Company, a renowned U.S.-based real estate developer and operator of private residential communities. This part-time, year-round position is centered on ensuring the safety and well-being of all members, guests, and employees throughout the premises. Security Officers serve a dual function of deterrence and active response, helping maintain a secure environment by identifying potential threats and managing incidents effectively. The role requires a commitment to upholding the highest standards of service while aligning with the club's security policies and local, state, and federal regulations. In this position, the Security Officer is part of a highly professional team consisting of safety, security, and medical personnel. Officers are expected to contribute their knowledge and skills for the benefit of the community and to foster the Discovery Land Company experience. Duties include maintaining secure residential and workplace environments, executing quarterly proficiency and development training including firearm qualifications, tactical and defensive training, and managing use of force protocols. The Security Officer also ensures authorized access to the property, prevents unauthorized entries, provides medical assistance when necessary, investigates incidents as directed, and offers emergency management support during natural disasters.
