This is a full-time, hourly position with an estimated pay range of $18 to $20 per hour based on qualifications and experience. The Pizza Baker will be responsible for the preparation of pizzas, strombolis, calzones, and other related baked goods. Key responsibilities include making dough, preparing pizzas for the day, assisting customers within the department, preparing prepackaged pizza products, and rotating shelves to ensure optimal freshness and presentation. Experience in pizza dough making is required to be successful in this role. The ideal candidate must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience with food preparation in a bakery or kitchen setting. The role demands excellent customer service skills, the ability to safely operate various kitchen equipment such as knives, ovens, steamers, mixers, scales, and wrapping machines, and strong oral communication capabilities. Candidates should be passionate about food, exhibit great work ethic, have problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, reliable, flexible, and honest. Working conditions include frequent standing and walking, occasional physical activities like pulling, pushing, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds. The position may also require exposure to confined spaces, heat from ovens and other equipment, and ambient noise.
