The role of a C-130J Production/Training Pilot on the C-130 Flight Operations team is a critical component of this aircraft’s lifecycle. This experienced professional is responsible for performing acceptance check flights on newly assembled C-130J aircraft to ensure these planes meet rigorous safety, compliance, and operational standards prior to delivery. The pilot also functions as an instructor, providing essential training to company and customer pilots and aircrews, ensuring proficient and safe operations within the fleet. This position requires expertise in handling the C-130J in various flight scenarios, including production acceptance, functional check flights, delivery, ferry flights, and experimental test flights aimed at validating compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and military specifications. The role extends into flight test activities, supporting engineering efforts to develop and refine aircraft systems and capabilities. Additionally, the Pilot participates in planning and reviews related to flight operations and contributes to the development and updating of flight manuals and procedures. • Must be a US Citizen
• pilot with at least 1500 hours total flying time in multiengine aircraft
• must have at least 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC)/Aircraft Commander flying time
• 300 hours PIC time in transport type aircraft
• experience as a C-130J pilot
• FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
• current or formerly qualified military Instructor Pilot
• current FAA Second Class or First Class medical or able to obtain within 30 days of hiring
• Top Secret Security Clearance or able to obtain
