The Full-Time Pilot position for the EAST base in Baltimore, MD, supports the STAT MedEvac 10 operations and offers a dynamic role for experienced helicopter pilots. This role involves performing as the Pilot in Command within a critical care transport team, where the pilot assumes full responsibility and authority for the safe operation of the assigned aircraft on all flights. The Pilot in Command must ensure airworthiness of the helicopter, maintain currency with all FAA qualifications, and comply with CEM policies and FAA regulations. This demanding role requires independent judgment to provide the safest and most efficient air transportation of patients under highly challenging, rapidly changing conditions. Pilots in this role work a schedule that typically consists of (7) 12-hour shifts within a two-week pay period, usually 7 days on followed by 7 days off, and involve rotating days and nights to ensure continuous service. Compliance with uniform policies, patient privacy laws, regulatory requirements, and participation in regular training such as instrument approaches and emergency procedures are essential to successful performance in this critical role.
