The role of Security Officer is a vital position within Copperstate Farms, reporting directly to the Regional Security Manager. This full-time position offers competitive hourly wages in the $20-$22 range. The Security Officer acts as the frontline guardian for the company, responsible for ensuring the protection of its physical assets, employees, and visitors. The position plays an essential role in maintaining a secure, safe, and compliant environment across all properties, including the vast cultivation greenhouses and retail dispensaries. Key responsibilities include routine patrols of the premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and access points, and enforcing entry control protocols. Security Officers serve as critical points of communication during emergencies, working closely with management and emergency responders to manage incidents effectively. An in-depth knowledge of emergency procedures, including evacuation plans, fire emergencies, and use of safety equipment such as first aid kits, panic buttons, fire extinguishers, and AED devices, is essential. Beyond physical security, the Security Officer is expected to model professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with staff, visitors, and contractors. Maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion with sensitive information is also paramount. The role requires strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to adapt to changing situations and collaborate with fellow security personnel. Officers will complete detailed reports and logs of their observations and incidents, participating in ongoing training and briefings to stay current with security protocols. • Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to pass a background check in order to obtain, and maintain a Facility Agent card in accordance with Arizona State Department of Health Services requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Verifiable job history of punctual attendance and reliability
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to learn quickly and log personnel in and out effectively with focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Commitment to work weekends and holidays as required
