We are currently seeking a Check-Out Receptionist to join our dynamic team and contribute to seamless patient experiences. The position is based in the Gainesville area with the zip code 32605 and is classified as a non-exempt role. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in patient flow by managing check-out procedures and scheduling activities directly through the Intergy electronic health records system. This role involves creating and modifying patient appointment and testing schedules, verifying essential patient information, and updating medical records. It requires someone with excellent communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a strong commitment to customer service. The Check-Out Receptionist will work at the check-out desk where patient interaction is constant, including answering questions about appointments and testing, assisting with scheduling and rescheduling, and providing accurate guidance to patients. Cross-training opportunities are available, allowing this individual to gain experience in scheduling and check-out functions, fostering professional growth within the institute.
Beyond administrative duties, the position demands attention to detail and proficiency in operating office equipment such as computers and copiers. Familiarity with medical terminology and experience in healthcare settings are advantageous to effectively perform responsibilities.
