The role of Customs, Export Controls & Special Programs Analyst at BMW Group offers a unique opportunity to be part of an internationally focused team ensuring compliance with customs and export regulations. This full-time position based in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, requires a diligent individual who can navigate complex trade laws and regulations to protect the company’s interests and support its growth objectives. The analyst will play an essential role in supporting customs governance efforts across all BMW entities operating in the United States, maintaining adherence to U.S. trade compliance regulations. They will also oversee the development and implementation of customs and export control processes and contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency through new system tools and methodologies.
The position demands a candidate capable of working independently while collaborating within cross-functional teams to optimize supply chains, reduce operational costs, and ensure regulatory compliance. Scope of responsibilities includes maintaining process documentation, supporting duty refund claims to U.S. authorities, and managing external service providers to verify compliance. The analyst will engage in continuous process improvements and support projects using agile methodologies, ensuring that business requirements are thoroughly understood and executed to streamline customs operations.
