We are currently seeking passionate and creative pastry cooks to join the award-winning pastry team at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley. These roles are open across multiple skill levels (2-4), offering an exciting opportunity to work within a sophisticated culinary environment that values innovation, artistry, and seasonal ingredients. As part of our pastry team, you will be responsible for crafting exquisite desserts, petits fours, ice creams, sorbets, chocolates, and elegant pastry decorations. This role demands precision, creativity, and a dedication to both quality and presentation, ensuring every guest enjoys an unforgettable dining experience.
In this position, you will prepare a diverse range of pastries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, adhering strictly to production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment. You will collaborate closely with the Pastry Chef and kitchen teams to execute daily mise en place, contribute to menu development, and uphold the high culinary standards for which Four Seasons is known. The role also involves inventory management, adhering to food safety protocols including proper storage and rotation of perishables, and supporting operational tasks to ensure seamless service across all outlets and banquet events.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of culinary or related experience with culinary knowledge preferably gained through on-the-job training or formal education from a cooking school or culinary institute. Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, broilers, ovens, mixers, and more is essential, alongside excellent knife skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, mid-days, and evenings to support 24/7 operational needs.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $23.37 to $27.59 and a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental options, parental leave, training opportunities, complimentary accommodations at other Four Seasons properties, employee meals, and retirement plans. This role is not eligible for work sponsorship or visa; candidates must possess valid US work authorization.
