This part-time position offers fewer than 30 hours per week, providing flexibility and a balanced work-life environment for team members. Starting wages are competitive at $18.50 per hour, with structured wage increases leading to $20.50 by the fifth year of employment. Working as a Cashier or Stocker at ALDI means being part of a collaborative team dedicated to maintaining store standards and efficient operations while delivering exceptional customer service. You will be expected to follow cash handling policies to reduce losses and participate in store inventory counts to keep stock levels precise. On the other hand, as a stocker, you will be responsible for stocking shelves and rotating product to guarantee freshness. Adhering to merchandising planograms is essential to ensure that displays are appealing and organized. Additional duties include organizing new inventory, breaking down empty boxes, and safely operating machinery such as electric or manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers. Stockers must have morning availability, with shifts possibly starting as early as 5:00 a.m., to accommodate store operational responsibilities. Physical demands of the roles include regular sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking throughout the store. Stockers may handle products weighing up to 45 pounds, placing items at various shelf heights. Both positions require strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and within a team, and effective time management. At ALDI, employees enjoy a range of benefits including a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions, an Employee Assistance Program, and access to a national discount program. Eligible employees may also receive medical, dental, vision insurance, paid vacation time, and paid holidays, along with paid parental and caregiver leave.
