The part-time Barista role at The Dot is a unique opportunity for individuals eager to be part of this vibrant community hub. This role demands enthusiasm, reliability, and excellent communication skills to provide exceptional member service in a fast-paced cafe setting. Baristas at The Dot are not only tasked with crafting high-quality beverages and food products but also act as ambassadors for Maps Credit Union’s mission by sharing its story and commitment to community giveback. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of managing the cafe as a solo operator.
The Barista position involves a variety of responsibilities, including opening and closing the cafe, engaging warmly with customers to create positive experiences, preparing hot and cold drinks, managing cafe inventory and merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness and equipment functionality in accordance with health, safety, and food safety standards. This job also includes supporting community outreach events hosted by the credit union’s charitable arm, making this role integral to strengthening community ties.
This position is part-time, with a recommended work schedule from Monday through Friday during morning and early afternoon hours, and offers competitive compensation ranging from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, plus tips. The Dot operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and availability for covering additional shifts is considered a plus. - Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
- Minimum of 1 year of cash handling experience
- Minimum of 1 year of food service experience
- Possess or ability to obtain a valid Food Handlers Card within 30 days
