The Paramedic position at RWJBarnabas Health offers an exciting opportunity to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to patients within its Mobile Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) department, specifically the MH Hudson Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) located at Jersey City Medical Center. This full-time role primarily covers night shifts and offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $35.00 to $43.97, reflecting the candidate's education, experience, and skills. The role requires a compassionate, professional, and skilled individual capable of delivering high-quality emergency medical care in compliance with established protocols and regulations. Paramedics in this role are entrusted with the responsibility to operate department vehicles safely and in accordance with New Jersey motor vehicle laws while maintaining clear communication with supervisors and healthcare partners. The position offers opportunities for career growth and retention, including paid retention agreements at 1, 3, and 5 years, free continuing education units (CEUs), and courses essential for recertification.   • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Valid driver's license with appropriate insurance
  • NJ or National Registry Paramedic Certification or eligible for reciprocity
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
  • Hazmat Awareness Certification
  • ICS 100, ICS 200, NIMS 700, and NIMS 800 certification
  • Completion of Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness training
  • Ability to work assigned shifts including nights and weekends
  • Capable of clear, professional communication in English
  • Must maintain compliance with hospital employee health requirements
