This role is a full-time night shift position dedicated to providing critical support, treatment, care, and evaluations to patients before and during transportation. The Paramedic will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of emergency medical services by delivering advanced life support (ALS) during patient transports approved by the EMS Medical Director. Responsibilities include patient assessment, intervention planning, implementation, and evaluation, aligned with Texas ALS scope of practice, EMS protocols, and department policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuously monitoring patient conditions, documenting accurately, educating patients and families, and ensuring all emergency equipment is operational and ready for use. Operating emergency vehicles safely under various conditions is essential, along with communicating effectively with dispatch about any delays or issues during transport. This safety and readiness extend to maintaining the ambulance unit and performing inventories of medications and supplies each shift.
