This specific role is for an Operations Supervisor - Transportation located onsite at the LSG Sky Chefs facility at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas. The position offers a salary range between $55,023.54 and $68,779.42 and schedules that rotate to include early morning (2 AM) shifts, mid-shifts, and evening shifts, reflecting the 24/7, 365-day operational nature of the transportation and catering business. The Operations Supervisor will play a vital role in overseeing the transportation operations that ensure timely, safe, and efficient delivery of in-flight catering products to airport gates and airline partners. As a hands-on leader in a fast-paced environment, the supervisor will manage a team of drivers, coordinate with dispatch and production teams, and maintain strict compliance with applicable government regulations including FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and HACCP standards. In addition to supervising staff, this role requires strong leadership and communication skills to guide daily work group meetings, optimize labor productivity, control costs, and encourage continuous process improvements. The supervisor must adeptly balance operational demands while fostering a safety-conscious work environment. This position also demands strong organizational skills to maintain accurate production and catering schedules, and to support company initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Employee Safety programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in production environments with a background or interest in airline catering or aviation, although such experience is preferred but not mandatory. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in both English and Spanish, are preferred but this is not a strict requirement.
