In the role of a Bakery Associate at WinCo Foods, you will play an essential part in producing and delivering high-quality bakery products that delight customers and support the grocery chain’s reputation for fresh and affordable goods. This position involves a variety of critical bakery tasks, including scaling, mixing, and baking various bakery goods such as breads, rolls, croissants, and cakes. As a Bakery Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, ensuring cleanliness and safety of the bakery area, properly packaging products, and adhering strictly to quality standards and food safety regulations. This role requires working flexible shifts generally ranging from 3:00 am to 10:00 pm, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Your efforts will directly impact the customer experience by maintaining an inviting bakery display, assisting customers with special orders, and personalizing cakes with custom decorations. The bakery department at WinCo Foods thrives on teamwork, high energy, and attention to detail. Associates are encouraged to take initiative in providing enthusiastic customer service focused on welcoming and engaging shoppers, answering inquiries, and performing suggestive selling. Hands-on skills such as using bakery equipment like ovens, mixers, proof boxes, and decorating tools including airbrush machines will be essential. You will also coordinate inventory management by logging production quantities and monitoring stock levels to ensure a consistent supply of fresh bakery products. Physical demands such as lifting bags up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling racks with heavy product loads, standing for prolonged periods, and maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment are inherent to the job. • Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation including night, weekends and holidays

• conduct visual inspections and follow production guides and recipes
• catch breads and operate kitchen equipment with manual dexterity

• reach overhead to place product on racks
• stand, walk and move rapidly for extended periods
• bend, stoop, balance, crouch, push, pull, lift, grasp, perform repetitive movements frequently
• handle bakery ingredients safely
