The current opportunity is with New York Breast Health (NYBH), a specialized division within the expansive NYH network located in Great Neck, NY. This role is for a Medical Front Desk Receptionist, an integral position responsible for managing the daily administrative functions of the office with professionalism and empathy. Working Monday through Friday in shifts ranging from 5 to 8.5 hours between 7 am and 7 pm, this role ensures smooth daily operations through opening and closing procedures, greeting patients, managing appointments, and handling financial transactions. The receptionist actively supports patients by assisting with forms and documentation, maintaining patient records using the practice's Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, and coordinating physician schedules according to established protocols. In addition to clerical duties, the Medical Front Desk Receptionist at NYBH plays a critical role in patient experience by maintaining a welcoming and comfortable reception area, responding to telephone inquiries, resolving issues, and safeguarding patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA regulations. The position encourages collaborative work with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to enhance care coordination. Beyond routine tasks, the receptionist participates in quality assurance activities, such as distributing surveys and prevention screenings, and contributes to special projects to continually improve office operations.
