The Manager Ramp Operations role at United Airlines is crucial to maintaining smooth and efficient airport operations. This leadership position involves coordinating all aspects of ramp operations, including supervising front-line supervisors and employees to ensure operational and financial goals are met. The Manager Ramp Operations is responsible for implementing station financial and operational plans that align with corporate and local objectives, requiring strong decision-making skills, operational expertise, and a collaborative approach. This leader must also have in-depth knowledge of department work rules, a good relationship with union leaders, and experience in managing financial controls, budgeting, and customer service standards.
This role serves as a liaison between multiple departments such as Operations Control, Flight Operations, Inflight, Maintenance, and government agencies to ensure cohesive workflow and regulatory compliance. The Manager Ramp Operations oversees daily staffing, scheduling, operational support, and contributes to safety and regulatory compliance efforts. The position demands an ability to develop and implement strategies that empower employees, enhance on-time performance, and optimize baggage handling and ground operations. This role also requires interaction with various stakeholders including airport authorities, vendors, and leadership teams to support organizational goals and operational excellence. The base pay range for this position is $99,750 to $129,924, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role within the company. - Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of management experience preferred
