The role being advertised is that of a Service Drive Attendant, an essential position within the service department of the dealership. The Service Drive Attendant is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles on and off the dealership premises. This role includes moving and cleaning vehicles, maintaining a clean and safe service drive, and organizing vehicles in an orderly manner. The attendant supports the Service Manager or Shop Foreman by helping with various shop maintenance tasks and assists in keeping the service area free from hazards to ensure safety and operational efficiency. In this position, the attendant will perform duties such as preparing vehicles for reception, washing and readying client and loaner cars, and assisting with vehicle road tests as required. The role also involves maintaining and accounting for dealership-owned tools and manuals, complying with all relevant safety regulations including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know standards, and operating tools and equipment safely. Additionally, the Service Drive Attendant interacts with visitors by greeting them and directing them to the appropriate dealership personnel, contributing to a welcoming and professional customer experience. This job demands an individual who is dependable, physically capable of performing tasks that include frequent lifting and moving of items up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and is comfortable working in various weather conditions.
