Community House on Broadway (CHOB) is a dedicated facility located in Cowlitz County, focused on providing emergency services and overnight shelter to individuals in need. Emphasizing a welcoming atmosphere, it seeks to create a healing and secure environment where residents and guests can find relief and assistance. \n\nThe House Manager position at Community House on Broadway is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility and its inhabitants. Reporting primarily to the Director of Care or their designee, the House Manager is an essential part of the team that helps maintain a safe and healing environment for residents, guests, and staff alike. This role involves multiple responsibilities, including monitoring security, conducting routine safety checks, attending to guests, managing incoming donations, and participating in special events and trainings. The House Manager must be flexible, capable of working collaboratively within a team and managing various tasks beyond the typical job description. A key element of the role is to engage with residents respectfully and compassionately while maintaining firm boundaries and promoting accountability. Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR regulations is vital, as well as understanding the challenges individuals face in transitioning from homelessness to employment. The House Manager serves not only as a guardian of security but also as a compassionate minister, able to handle potentially difficult situations with grace and professionalism.   • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in community or social services preferred
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols

  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs
