Logistics Manager - $125000 to $135000 per YEAR
Posted on October 24, 2025
We are partnering with a dynamic California-based company located in Alameda that is currently undergoing a rapid phase of recovery and growth following a significant transition. This firm operates within a highly regulated industry, working on cutting-edge aerospace and space technology hardware. With a focus on innovation, quality, and precision, this enterprise is positioned as a forward-thinking startup aimed at redefining its space in the market. The work environment is energized yet scrappy, full of opportunities to contribute to the company’s resurgence and long-term success.
The company is seeking a Logistics Manager to join their fully onsite team. This critical role offers an excellent base salary ranging from $125,000 to $135,000, complemented by strong equity upside—offering a unique chance to be part of ownership in a growing company. As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for taking full ownership of inventory, shipping, and production control workflows. This is not a typical role focused solely on administrative tasks related to inventory or logistics; instead, it involves building, optimizing, and leading end-to-end systems that improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
You will work closely alongside engineering and production leaders, gaining a firsthand understanding of the company’s core processes and challenges. The role involves establishing rigorous cycle count programs, creating insightful inventory dashboards, and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide actionable data to drive decision-making. Your contributions will include identifying operational bottlenecks, proposing innovative solutions, and leading targeted improvement projects to resolve ongoing issues.
Handling day-to-day operations will be a crucial aspect of the position, including managing receiving, kitting, shipping, and storage functions. The company is working to resolve legacy inventory issues, enhance the storage environment, and increase the completeness of production kits to boost productivity and reduce errors. Although the team is currently small, there is potential for the Logistics Manager to supervise one or two logistics specialists, enhancing leadership opportunities within the role.
Ideal candidates will have significant hands-on experience in logistics and inventory management within startup or fast-paced production environments, particularly those familiar with regulated sectors such as aerospace, medical devices, or defense. Comfort with ERP systems, data tracking, and accuracy validation is essential, as is a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving imperfect systems.
This role is designed for a motivated professional who has previously held positions such as Logistics Lead, Inventory Supervisor, or Production Control Manager, or for a senior specialist looking to advance to a leadership-level position. The successful hire will be highly autonomous, willing to take initiative, and eager to be recognized as a crucial driver in the company’s operations.
Joining this company offers more than just a typical managerial job. You’ll gain real ownership over your domain, seeing your strategic decisions impact the entire organization. You won’t be just another cog in the machine—you’ll have clear visibility and influence on critical company outcomes. Additionally, the company’s recent private status provides considerable equity growth potential for committed employees.
The work pace is rapid yet purposeful, requiring agility and a growth mindset. You will be the key player in rebuilding and streamlining logistics after disruption, helping to ensure the company is well-positioned to achieve its ambitious growth plans.
If you are excited by the prospect of leading comprehensive logistics operations in a high-tech regulated environment and want to be part of a company on the cusp of transformation, this role presents a compelling opportunity.
