As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with the comprehensive execution of the kitchen's dining program. Your responsibilities will span daily restaurant operations, catering engagements, and special event food preparations. A key aspect of the role includes maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment in compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety standards. The role requires working closely with senior chefs to deliver vibrant, appealing menus by applying various cooking techniques such as braising, sautéing, roasting, and grilling. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in knife handling and an understanding of recipe execution, portion control, and product inventory management. Flexibility is key, as you will be expected to work in multiple kitchen stations, participate in food and beverage catering functions, and manage inventory efficiently. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, including flexibility for extended hours and weekend requirements.
