The line cook position at Blackberry Farm is a crucial role within the vibrant culinary teams across three esteemed restaurants: The Barn, The Dogwood, and The Main House. This full-time role offers flexible opportunities during both AM and PM shifts and is compensated between $17.00 and $25.00 hourly, reflecting the importance of excellence in food preparation and presentation. Line cooks are responsible for executing culinary tasks that meet the exacting standards of chefs and guests alike. This includes a variety of food preparation duties such as vegetable cutting, vinaigrette and salad making, stock preparation, meat fabrication, and sauce creation, using precise culinary techniques and kitchen equipment knowledge. Working in an environment that demands speed, accuracy, and cleanliness, line cooks play a central role in producing finished dishes during service hours. They must be able to receive directions, follow recipes accurately, and maintain organized and sanitary workstations throughout their shifts. The role also involves assisting with receiving deliveries, coordinating production across multiple days, and ensuring seamless transitions during shift changes. Interpersonal skills are essential, as line cooks collaborate closely with sous chefs, other cooks, and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth-running kitchen and timely delivery of high-quality dishes to guests.
