The Lead Team Member role at pOpshelf is vital in delivering an exceptional shopping experience by maintaining store cleanliness, organization, and superior customer service. This position involves assisting customers in finding products, operating the cash register, restocking merchandise, and endorsing a customer-first store culture. A Lead Team Member supports the Store Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader by stepping into leadership duties when necessary, ensuring daily operations run efficiently and profitably. This role demands strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment where merchandise presentation and customer satisfaction are top priorities.
This position typically requires direct involvement in merchandising, completing cleaning responsibilities, managing store standards daily, and helping with store opening and closing procedures. The Lead Team Member is also responsible for cash handling, assisting customers with purchases, and ensuring the store environment remains safe and welcoming.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - Preferably six months of supervisory experience or related experience or training
 - Ability to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping and kneeling
 - Ability to handle merchandise and equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, and dollies
 - Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally
 - Ability to climb ladders occasionally
 - Ability to drive own vehicle for bank deposits and training attendance
 - Ability to work in a fast-paced and moderate noise environment
 - Willingness to work in occasional exposure to weather conditions and cleaning solutions
