The role available within Oshkosh Corporation’s Vocational segment is focused on coordinating building and equipment improvement projects led by the Facilities Department. This position is integral to managing projects from inception through completion, handling aspects such as budget control, concept drawings, scheduling, cost monitoring, and communication flow to ensure that all projects meet quality and engineering standards. The candidate will collaborate closely with the Oshkosh Vocational Tennessee Facilities Manager, ensuring that facility activities comply with established engineering standards and regulations. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various departments across the organization including Production and Office Management, Maintenance, Safety and Environmental, and Manufacturing Engineering. It provides essential engineering support and resource coordination to meet project requirements.
Key responsibilities include providing CAD and manual drafting support for a wide range of maintenance, office, and production projects, along with long-range facility planning. The role also involves overseeing construction projects, departmental moves, and capital equipment reallocations or additions. Candidates will be expected to prepare cost estimates, coordinate plant and maintenance improvements, procure materials and services from external vendors, and assist departments in selecting functional and uniform equipment and facilities. Supporting capital budget preparations and maintaining departmental policies and drawing archives also fall under this role’s scope. Further, the position contributes to the Safety and Environmental committee meetings and develops maintenance programs for buildings and grounds, including evaluating roofing alternatives and recommending corrective actions.
This is a full-time, salaried position with a pay range between $63,500 and $101,700, reflecting the company’s commitment to competitive compensation based on experience, education, and skill level. - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or civil engineering or facilities/operations management
