The Airline Passenger Assistant, commonly referred to as a Wheelchair Agent, plays a vital front-line role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and mobility of airline passengers who require wheelchair assistance. This position requires compassionate and attentive customer service skills, as the Wheelchair Agent is instrumental in assisting passengers from their point of origin to their final destination within the airport or airline facility. The role is customer service-oriented and offers an opportunity for supplementary income through customary tipping, with agents who provide exemplary service potentially earning an additional $25 to $100 weekly. This role is an excellent entry point for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce as it provides on-the-job training without the need for prior professional experience or formal education credentials. It is ideal for candidates who enjoy interacting with people and want to contribute positively to the travel experience of passengers with mobility challenges.
