The role being offered is that of a Kitchen Supervisor. This position is crucial to maintaining the high standards of culinary operations within the hotel. The Kitchen Supervisor oversees the food preparation process, ensuring that all dishes meet Hilton’s rigorous quality and safety requirements. This leadership role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as a line cook, with strong skills in food safety, knife techniques, and knowledge of cooking temperatures. While experience in a hotel setting and a valid ServSafe certification are advantageous, they are not strictly mandatory. The Kitchen Supervisor will work full availability shifts, typically rotating between 5AM to 1PM and 3PM to 11PM. The pay rate is competitive at $24.00 per hour.
In this role, the Kitchen Supervisor assists the Chef and Sous Chef in both the oversight of the kitchen team and the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen environment. They play a hands-on role in food preparation, especially with fish and meats, and are responsible for setting up daily specials and happy hour foods. Attention to detail is vital when visually inspecting food quality and presentation to maintain guest satisfaction. Beyond managing food production, the Supervisor helps prepare staff schedules and ensures compliance with all health, safety, and food-handling regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. This position demands a proactive individual who can communicate challenges effectively within the kitchen hierarchy to ensure smooth operations and outstanding guest service.
