The Kitchen Manager role at Hope House Colorado is a vital position responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations within the HHC Early Learning Center (ELC). This role involves planning, preparing, and serving nutritionally balanced meals including breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks for 30 to 100 children. The Kitchen Manager will work within the guidelines set by Colorado Child Care licensing, the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and the Colorado Health Department to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. By managing a 4-week rotating menu and overseeing food orders and inventory, the Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role in promoting healthy eating habits among children, helping them understand portion sizes, and exposing them to diverse food options.
This position requires a hands-on approach with meal preparation conducted onsite, emphasizing family-style serving and nutritional guidelines. Additionally, the Kitchen Manager will collaborate with volunteers and development teams to coordinate food deliveries and maintain kitchen standards during community events.                 - Experience working in a commercial kitchen in child food service preparation and/or management
