The role of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle offers a dynamic opportunity to develop culinary skills and leadership within a forward-thinking company that is redefining the fast food experience. The Kitchen Leader is entrusted with ensuring the food served is of the highest quality, from preparing and grilling meats to sautéing vegetables and adhering to kitchen procedures that guarantee food safety and deliciousness. This position holds significant responsibility for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen while ensuring equipment is well-maintained and functional. As a key team player, the Kitchen Leader supports and fosters strong collaboration between the back of house and front of house crew members, modeling teamwork and excellent customer service. This role also involves training and mentoring crew members, guiding them to become future Kitchen Leaders themselves. Constantly active and engaged, the Kitchen Leader manages kitchen workflows, oversees inventory and waste monitoring, resolves food quality issues, and ensures compliance with health and safety guidelines, including filling out essential documentation like Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and inventory rotation (FIFO).
