The Van Delivery Driver role at Gordon Food Service Store LLC is integral to maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to a diverse customer base including small food service operators, families, non-profit organizations, and caterers. This position requires operating a delivery van safely and professionally while demonstrating attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Alongside delivery responsibilities, the driver will assist with store operations, including order picking, point of sale transactions, and merchandising duties such as product receipt, rotation, quality checks, and planogram execution. Daily activities include accurate locating and picking of wholesale customer orders, building and maintaining positive customer relationships through effective communication and service, ensuring on-time delivery of products, and conducting pre and post-trip vehicle inspections. In-store tasks involve processing accurate and efficient customer purchases, safeguarding assets including cash, checks, and merchandise, and maintaining a well-organized sales floor and backroom. Successful candidates will bring prior delivery driving experience coupled with customer service knowledge, a valid unrestricted Standard Operators License, and a clean driving record free from drug or alcohol offenses within the last five years. Physical demands include the ability to use a two-wheel cart with loads weighing up to 350 pounds and lift up to 70 pounds, as well as a minimum age requirement of 18 years. • At least 1 year previous delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or related field preferred
