Currently, Upstate Construction and Development Services is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Fixture Installation and Merchandising Technician in the Inland Empire, CA region, with opportunities to contribute to projects nationwide. This position is an overnight role, reflecting the operational needs of retail store projects that often require work outside of typical business hours. Candidates will be heavily involved in various store remodels, resets, and merchandising tasks that demand an understanding of blueprint and plan-o-gram execution. The role requires traveling to multiple retail locations across the United States as part of a collaborative team. Essential duties include fixture installation such as pallet racking, gondolas, and other retail fixtures involving assembly, dismantling, and precise placement in line with project plans. Candidates must have the ability to interpret detailed plans and instructions, maintain safety compliance, and demonstrate professional interaction with both clients and team members.
The position demands strong self-management skills, physical stamina to handle material lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks including stooping, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods. The role also requires proficient use of hand and power tools, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and a willingness to travel extensively. Upstate Construction supports its personnel with competitive starting wages—$19 per hour for crew members and $20 per hour for crew leads—with scheduled reviews after 90 days.
