The role involves preparing a wide variety of menu items including soups, salads, vegetables, sauces, gravies, entrees, desserts, and more. The Analyst independently prepares simple meals and assists in more complex or specialized meal preparation, ensuring that food quality and dietary restrictions are adhered to. Additionally, the position requires grilling, cooking, steaming, baking, and roasting a variety of foods, as well as setting up, operating, and cleaning food preparation equipment. On the dietary desk side, this role collects and maintains critical information regarding patient allergies and dietary requirements, ensuring these are communicated accurately and updated in a timely fashion to guarantee patient safety and satisfaction. The Analyst acts as a liaison between medical staff and patients to resolve meal order issues and performs clerical duties such as processing patient orders, tracking food service requests, and managing communication. Knowledge of specialized diets, including those aligned with international guidelines, is essential.
