Training Centre Operations at CAE play a pivotal role in the organization's dedication to quality and seamless training delivery. The role of the Part 135 Regulatory Compliance Auditor at CAE is essential for maintaining the integrity and compliance of the company’s training programs and operational specifications. Situated primarily at the Dallas Training Facility in Dallas, Texas, this position involves conducting detailed audits on operational specifications, training programs, checklists, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other critical documentation related to Part 135 operations. The auditor ensures all documents and processes meet or exceed FAA regulations and company standards, contributing to the overall effectiveness and legality of training operations.
Key responsibilities include onboarding new Part 135 operators, managing and maintaining a large volume of documentation for over 80 certificates, auditing incoming documents for currency and accuracy, resolving conflict reports, and assisting with routine and special audits. Additionally, this role requires developing and maintaining information systems that track instructor records, training statuses, manuals, and checklists. The compliance auditor also participates in meetings addressing compliance issues, works on process improvements, and supports safety management systems training initiatives within the Learning Center. Effective communication skills are a must, as the auditor serves as a liaison between operators, employees, regulatory bodies, and management teams to clarify issues, implement changes, and maintain regulatory compliance.
The position demands a person who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Familiarity with FAA regulations, particularly Parts 61, 91, 121, and 135, as well as the ability to quickly learn new processes and regulations, is critical. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Salesforce, and communication tools such as Webex and Microsoft Communicator is expected. The role requires minimal travel, typically under 10%, and involves physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking up to 8-10 hours daily, and occasionally lifting or physical maneuvering related to equipment repairs.
