The role of Servicer C at Golden Empire Transit District is a journey-level classification focused on maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of transit vehicles, including buses and company cars. Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Manager, and Maintenance Supervisors, the Servicer C independently executes routine and specialized cleaning duties necessary to keep vehicles in optimal condition. This position plays a key role in ensuring both the interior and exterior of the fleet remain spotless, contributing directly to the quality of transit experiences for GET customers. The Servicer C utilizes a variety of cleaning equipment and methods to perform tasks such as vacuuming, removing debris and gum, upholstery cleaning, restroom sanitation, floor mopping, and minor repair assistance. Beyond cleaning, the Servicer C may also assist with vehicle service maintenance duties within the scope of established policies and procedures. The role demands sound judgment and adherence to safety standards to complete assignments efficiently and professionally. The classification does not involve supervisory responsibilities but requires collaboration and professionalism when interacting with other team members and departments. The role is integral to maintaining the operational readiness of the transit fleet, supporting continuity of services. The work schedule may include night shifts, reflecting operational needs.
