We are currently seeking a Bar/Beverage Manager to join our esteemed Food and Beverage team at Mandarin Oriental New York. This full-time, permanent role plays a vital part in maintaining the dynamic and high-standard operation of the hotel's bar and beverage outlets. The Bar/Beverage Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining and service experience to guests by managing daily operations and developing long-term strategic plans for the bar. This role requires a commitment to Mandarin Oriental’s philosophy and culture built on pillars of legendary quality experiences, integrity, respect, and a growth mindset. The manager will lead and motivate bartenders and servers, ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency while adhering to the company’s guiding principles. Responsibilities also include training and evaluating staff, handling scheduling, payroll, inventory, and ordering, and supervising the cleanliness and maintenance of bar areas. Collaboration with guest relations, front office, and other departments is essential to coordinate events, special requests, and ensure seamless service. The manager must also be adept at budget development, financial monitoring, menu updates, and maintaining compliance with legal standards for beverage service.
