The Inflight Duty Manager position at Alaska Airlines plays a critical role within the Network Operations Center (NOC), serving as a key point of contact for all inflight-related matters. This leadership role demands managing current, contingent, and emergency operations to ensure safe, timely, and efficient flight attendant operations throughout the airline’s vast network. The Inflight Duty Manager collaborates cross-functionally with various stakeholders such as the Network Director, Flight Operations, Crew Scheduling, hotel and ground transportation services, and Security teams. With a responsibility to uphold the highest standards of service and operational excellence, this position actively supports flight attendants, especially outside normal business hours. Day-to-day duties include representing VP Inflight Services in the NOC, acting as the first responder during crises or irregular operations, and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and company policies. The role requires a deep understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), contractual obligations, and inflight procedures across all fleet types. The Inflight Duty Manager also participates in continuous operational improvements through feedback monitoring and collaboration with base management. This position requires strong decision-making skills, operational expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with frontline employees and leadership. Alaska Airlines offers a competitive salary range of $84,500 to $126,750 per year and a full-time, regular employment status with comprehensive benefits, including health insurance and travel privileges.   • 4 years of experience in customer service, inflight services, or related function
  • Bachelor’s degree or additional two years of relevant training/experience as substitute
  • Ability to complete initial training/IOE, hold FAA flight attendant certificate, and maintain recurrent training
  • Proven problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments
  • Experience coaching and mentoring frontline employees
  • Strong teamwork and independent work skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with operational control systems
  • Ability to write professional reports
  • Ability to understand written and oral instructions
  • Physical ability to stand for extended times
  • Willingness to fly as crew member, including irregular operations and adverse weather
