The role of Line Cook at American Place Casino is a vital position within the fine dining steakhouse segment of the company. The ideal candidate will have the ability to execute precise cooking techniques under pressure while maintaining organization, cleanliness, and composure. Attention to detail, knowledge of ingredients, presentation, timing, and respect for the kitchen hierarchy are critical aspects of this position. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for daily preparation and service, ensuring that every dish meets the established standards of quality and consistency. This includes participating in daily line checks, assisting with banquet preparation and execution according to the Chef's specifications, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in walk-ins and storage areas. You will also follow all health and safety regulations and participate in sanitation walkthroughs to ensure compliance. Supporting front-of-house staff by providing accurate information on daily specials is also part of your responsibility. This role requires adaptability to the unique conditions of a casino environment, including working with bright lights and noise. A background in fine dining and culinary expertise are preferred, ideally with one to two years of experience. Bilingual skills are considered a plus. Candidates should be knowledgeable about health and sanitation standards, proper cooking techniques, knife skills, and food knowledge.
