The Porter role at Gerber Collision & Glass plays a vital part in complementing the quality repair work by maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of customer vehicles and shop facilities. This is a hands-on position focused on pre-washing vehicles prior to repair, cleaning them post-repair, and transporting them to and from sublet locations for additional service work. In addition, the Porter ensures the shop and office areas are orderly and clean, contributing to a positive and professional environment for both customers and team members. The position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn, making it ideal for individuals interested in growing within the automotive service industry. The work involves physical activity such as walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling, as well as exposure to mechanical parts, requiring basic automotive knowledge or experience preferred. This role is pivotal in helping Gerber Collision & Glass achieve its WOW Operating Way plan by consistently upholding high standards in vehicle presentation and workplace cleanliness.
As an hourly employee, the Porter can expect a competitive pay range of $15 to $18 or more per hour, dependent on experience.
