The role being offered is that of a Housekeeper, a vital part of the hotel's operations. As a Housekeeper, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of all areas within the hotel, including guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms. The role requires attention to detail, a commitment to hygiene standards, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the day. The Housekeeper will carry out duties such as making beds, replenishing room supplies, vacuuming carpets and rugs, dusting furniture and equipment, polishing metal fixtures, washing walls, ceilings, and windows, emptying wastebaskets, and managing laundry operations.
Additionally, the Housekeeper will handle the collection and sorting of soiled linens, operate washers and dryers, and ensure the proper storage of clean items. The role also involves the safe disposal of trash and waste, replacing light bulbs, and performing other assigned cleaning duties. This job requires physical stamina, the ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, lift and carry weights typically ranging from 6 to 25 pounds, and perform tasks that involve bending or reaching.
