This position is for a Housekeeper II within the Environmental Services department at Corewell Health, located in the Trenton Hospital facility. The role is part-time with scheduled hours from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and requires availability on every other weekend. Offering a competitive pay range between $15.47 and $18.32 per hour based on experience, this position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, families, visitors, and hospital staff. The Housekeeper II is responsible for performing basic but essential cleaning duties throughout the hospital to ensure aseptic and sanitary conditions are consistently upheld. The Housekeeper II must interact comfortably and warmly with patients, their families, and visitors to make them feel welcomed and cared for through positive and friendly demeanor. Daily cleaning responsibilities include sanitizing patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas by dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, spot washing walls and windows, removing trash and soiled linen, and restocking supplies as required. Specialized cleaning assignments include areas such as operating room suites, emergency departments, intensive care units, pediatric units, mental health units, oncology, radiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy, geriatrics, kitchen areas, and more. The role demands adherence to health and safety protocols, proper use of cleaning chemicals, and completion of safety training and competencies. Corewell Health equips the Housekeeper II with the necessary training and tools to perform tasks effectively and safely, including participation in ongoing safety initiatives and risk mitigation efforts to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
