The Housekeeper position is a full-time role offering 80 hours per pay period with night shifts at Fort Loudoun Medical Center. This role is essential in maintaining the hospital’s high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the medical facility and related buildings. The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing rooms and furnishings following established policies, procedures, and schedules to create a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. In addition to cleaning duties, the housekeeper will stock supplies in restrooms and various hospital rooms, ensuring that the facility is always well-prepared to meet daily operational needs. This role plays a critical part in infection control and supports the overall healthcare team by maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment that promotes patient safety and comfort. Additional responsibilities include assisting in cleaning emergency spills, checking and maintaining cleaning equipment, properly disposing of waste and soiled linens, monitoring supply levels, and reporting any maintenance needs. The housekeeper must follow all safety standards and policies and participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives to contribute to the hospital’s excellence in patient care.
