This position is vital in ensuring that residents, associates, and visitors experience a sanitary, comfortable, and home-like atmosphere daily. The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, sanitizing, and scrubbing guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established facility procedures. Special attention is paid to respecting guests’ privacy and preferences, creating a welcoming environment where residents feel at ease and cared for. This position requires availability every other weekend and every other holiday, reflecting the constant need for maintaining cleanliness and safety in a healthcare setting. The role involves ensuring housekeeping supplies are stored safely out of reach of guests, disposing of trash and biohazardous waste correctly, and posting safety hazard signs when needed. In addition to cleaning duties, the Housekeeping Aide may assist with laundry tasks as required.
